A Poplar Tree is a new Minecraft tree that naturally generates in the Dappled Forest biome. Its canopy can have red, orange or yellow leaves, while its trunk provides the new Poplar wood set. How Do You Get a Poplar Sapling?

Break or let Poplar Leaves decay after removing nearby logs. The leaves can drop Poplar Saplings, so collect at least one before leaving. Mojang also confirms that Wandering Traders can offer the sapling, providing another route when you cannot find the biome.

Use an ordinary tool for logs and collect leaves only when you need decorative leaf blocks. Do not confuse a Poplar Sapling with a Red Shrub; they are separate items with different Bone Meal behavior.

How Do You Grow a Poplar Tree?

Grow a Poplar Tree with this simple method:

1. Plant one Poplar Sapling on suitable ground.
2. Clear blocks above and around the sapling.
3. Wait for natural growth or apply Bone Meal.

5. Replant to create a renewable Poplar wood farm.
